Our Story

Katie’s love of dogs and dog training started at a young age. When she was only 9 years old, she started her journey with the Elkhart County 4-H Dog Club. A few years later, Katie was introduced to the world of UKC and AKC showing, where she began competing in agility, rally obedience, obedience, and junior showmanship. While in high school, Katie joined a Schutzhund club and began that dog sport journey with her German Shepherd.

At the end of her high school career, Katie officially completed 10 years of 4-H and began working at a local veterinary clinic as a Certified Veterinary Assistant. Katie spent several years working in the veterinary medicine field until she was offered a position training service and therapy dogs at Top Notch Service Dogs.

With all of her experience, knowledge, and love for dogs, Katie took a leap of faith and opened All About Dogs in May 2023. Along with running her own business, Katie still shows her personal dogs across multiple venues, works at Top Notch part time, and volunteers her time as a trainer with the Elkhart County 4-H Dog Club.
